A bespoke entry in Vancouver’s burgeoning tourism sector wanted branding to set it apart
Starting with an initial idea for a wordmark — a default standard in local tourism — I designed a much more active logo. I went past typography alone — towards summits, coastlines, and a reflection on the city’s number one outdoor activity, it’s continuous seawall path
My design captures the outdoor diversity of the city, while keeping the logo super clean and memorable
I created colours going beyond our world-reknowned Winter Games hues that will pop on any background — particularly on black for merch — and gave Vancouver Walks a brand image that sets it apart in its market
